The event itself is a 24-hour relay around a special track surrounded by astonishing builds on many different themes, but all unified by the idea of the seasons - Seasons of Hope. It starts today at 10am SLT with the opening ceremony and ends a full day later.
Find out more about the events happening today here, or you can watch the special television coverage on the RFL Telethon channel. If you can, come down and join in - and please make a donation if you possibly can.
Today's programme provides uplifting and moving music to support the Relay effort. Enjoy - and join in if you can.
And don't forget to join us for the ZBS Radio Hour at 7pm and 3am UK time (11am and 7pm Pacific) when we come to the end of Jack Flanders's Dreams of Sumatra, and rthe special two-part Ruby adventure, The Tookah's Tales.
