DYLAN: MY CREAMY DREAMY!

Although our cat tree has three ledges on it -- one for each cat, no kitty ever sits anywhere except on top. The ledges are used, sometimes, as stepping stones to the highest seat in the house. So, here is Dylan as King of the Cat Tree (for the moment, anyway)!

The daylight allows me to take pictures of Dylan without a flash, and I find that the natural light indoors really softens his image. He practically blends in with the decor!

The cat tree is purrfectly pawsitioned for maximum viewing out the back and side windows of the family room. There is much to see out there, because squirrels and chipmunks are always running up and down the fence, and birds are constantly alighting in the branches of the trees which are only a few short feet from the window.

However, normally, the cat tree is used purrimarily for snoozing. After all, Dylan and his furblings need somewhere to rest after their outdoor excursions. And this way, they can still keep an eye (when it's open) on all the exterior happenings -- just so they don't miss anything (heaven forbid!).

Dylan did fall asleep after I was finished with my photoshoot. As you can tell by his direct gaze into the camera lens, he was quite aware that he was being photographed. I just love the creamy, dreamy effect Dylan takes on from the soft, mid-day light.

You can see that my kitties live a life of luxury whether they are inside or out. After all, they have their human servants to cater to their efurry whim. And believe me, they have whims! They are altogether too whimsical sometimes. A meow or a howl from one of them, and we all come running to ask them what they want.

In this case, however, Dylan wants for nothing, and is just content to finish his modelling task and fall asleep.

P.S. Dylan gives a shout out to his darling fiance, Kikyo. He says he'll see you in his dreams!

P.P.S. Some new LOLs have just been added to our current feature titled 'The Island Cats Take on Gross Eel' on the LOLSpot. To get there, just click on the LOL Icon, second from the top to the left of this post. Wally, Ernie and Zoey would love to see you!
