Holi he! Springtime, Bollywood style - 6-8:30 PM SLT

This past weekend marked the Hindu festival of Holi, where Indians of many backgrounds celebrate the arrival of spring with music, dancing, and bright colors. Celebrations include the flinging of colored powder or dye that covers everything and everyone. The bright colors lend themselves to spectacular visuals, which is why Holi celebrations are a common backdrop for cheery production numbers in the films of Bollywood.

And in honor of Holi, tonight's Monday Night World Music explores some of those songs. Tonight from 6-8:30 PM SLT, you can hear a raucus set of the best of Bollywood, focusing on Holi songs, from the 1950s to today.

So grab your brightest colors and come join us for this musical celebration of the colors of spring, tonight from 6-8:30PM SLT. You can join Carter in Second Life at Madhu's Cafe Indien. Or, listen in on gullar sahir's main stream. Hope to see you there!
