From the Library: An Early 20th Century Entertainment

Today on gullar sahir, please join us for a day of music from the Victorian and Edwardian eras. The programme will include popular songs and ballads familiar to those of us who frequent the music-halls.

In addition we shall be enjoying some of the marvellous musical confections of Sir Arthur Sullivan and Mr Lionel Monckton; and, from time to time, we shall regale you with the sounds of the latest in Mechanical Instrumentation, including the famous Carousel Steam-Organ. We will also hear some music from the Band-stand at the Gardens of the Crystal Palace, and the latest Dances from the Continent.

We guarantee that a most enjoyable time is to be had by all.

The ZBS Radio Hour

Then join us at 11am and 7pm Pacific Time, that's 19:00 and 03:00 GMT, for the latest installments in our ZBS Radio Hour adventure series. At the top of the hour, it's Jack Flanders in Dreams of India; and at the half-hour, the latest adventures of Ruby, the Galactic Gumshoe, in The Turban of El Morya.
Today's programme is presented by Elrik Merlin and produced by gullar sahir in conjunction with our friends at the Alexandrian Free Library Consortium of Second Life. You can listen to the programme in-world now at http://main.radioriel.org, or simply click here to start your player, if your browser is configured to do so. Listeners in the United States are encouraged to tune in using this link: http://loudcity.com/stations/radio-riel/tune_in

May we take this opportunity to inform listeners that from this coming week, Mr Merlin's weekday programme will be broadcast on Wednesdays and not on Tuesdays as heretofore, where his place will be taken by Mr Otenth Paderborn. Mr Merlin's Saturday programme will continue as previously.
