This week marked the 71st anniversary of the release of the iconic 1939 movie "The Wizard of Oz". Today's program on gullar sahir's Main stream is all music that is somehow connected to The Wizard of Oz, from the original soundtrack of the movie, to a 1998 Broadway revival, to the soundtrack to the musical "Wicked", to music from Judy Garland, to the songs that were at the top of the Hit Parade in 1939, and more!
As a part of today's tribute, we are featuring the 1950 Lux Radio Play of The Wizard of Oz, starring Judy Garland. The play will run at 1pm and 7pm SLT.
Note: The Wizard of Oz is Gabrielle's #1 favorite movie of all time, and it has been since she was six. :-)
