From the Library: Music of the Victorian & Edwardian Eras

Today we feature a range of music from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, including popular songs and ballads, music from the dance-halls, and songs from musicals of the time – from Gilbert & Sullivan to Mockton's Arcadians.

The period covered extends to around 1920, although a few tracks are actually a litle later than that. The recordings are a mixture of original transcriptions and modern performances. We hope you enjoy today's journey into a bygone age.

The programme today is presented by Elrik Merlin and produced by gullar sahir in association with the Alexandrian Free Library Consortium of Second Life. You can listen to the program now at http://loudcity.com/stations/radio-riel/tune_in.
