YOU SHOULD BE IN MY LIFE


Everywhere I go
when I get there
I notice
an empty space

When I ride the
train, I notice
the empty seat
next to me

At parties
when laughing with
friends
there's one beside
me

When on the roof
staring at a sunset
there is one
around me

When I sleep in
my bed, there is one
beneath
me

Everywhere I go
this empty space
follows
relentlessly

I am afraid

That you should be
in my life
