Riel Theatre presents: The Time Machine pt 1 of 2
In the 1990s Leonard Nimoy and John de Lancie collaborated on a series of audio dramas of 19th century SF. Today Riel Theatre presents part one of their rendition of H. G. Wells' The Time Machine. Based on the original novel, the story follows an English scientist in 1895, known only as "The Time Traveler", who entertains a friend at a dinner party with tales of how he has broken the "fourth dimension" to traverse into the future. He has invented a machine that enables him to travel through time; optimistic about encountering a highly advanced world, he leaps 802,000 years in the future. Instead, he is horrified to discover that the human race has split into two warring subspecies with nightmarish results.
Join us at the Clarendon Conservatory from 7pm SLT on Thursday night for the first half.
